Brussels - Things to Do
|
Off to Brussels this weekend with the missus after picking up a blinding deal through work...
I've looked on the internet for things to do whilst there, but it all seems very boring.
Any of you CUNTS got any decent recommendations?
Cheers in advance!

A few more tips... for the best mussels and chips in town go to Au Vieux Bruxelles (Rue Saint-Boniface), and just before go for a drink in Ultime Atome just by it. It's in a nice area as well.
A little to the South, but worth the de-tour.

Best advice is to leave that dog-shit riddled hell hole and get the train to Antwerp. better people, better food, better beer.

Just got back from my first visit on Sunday.
It isn't all that exciting tbh but as your going with the missus, it will most likely be 'chilled' anyway?
Really nice place however. Very relaxed for a city, with some decent restaurants.
CHIMAY beer is a bit of me....

Shermans and Brits are brewing lambics. A good one is like a good scumpy but I prefer the price and taste of scrumpy.

Lambic is only brewed over there but you can get Lambic Beers over here.

Remember this cosy place
http://www.alabecasse.com/en/info.html
it does what are known as Lambic beers. They can only be found in Brussels. Open fermented and taste a bit Cidery. I like them.

The Brussels ringroad is a nightmare (or was, anyway). It's half motorway, and half not.
On the non-motorway bit, it's got priorité a droite, and large agricultural vehicles steam out onto it without the drivers even looking.
On the other hand, it could be the most exciting thing Brussels has to offer...

Nothing good ever came out of Belgium. Nothing.
